The dataset is continuously maintained and reflects the most current configuration of service areas used for emergency response and dispatch operations.</idAbs>
<idPurp>This dataset exists to provide accurate geospatial information to support the automated 911 dispatch system. The boundaries enable the system to determine the correct response units and ensure that emergency calls are routed to the most appropriate resources.</idPurp>

<suppInfo>From a GIS workflow perspective, this dataset is maintained as a single feature class representing all law enforcement operational boundaries. Maintaining one unified geometry allows editors to make boundary adjustments in a single location, ensuring consistency across all dependent datasets. The unified feature class is then used to generate the four operational boundary layers required for dispatch systems: law_response, law_district, law_beat, and law_gp. These derivative datasets can be produced using ArcGIS Pro’s Pairwise Dissolve tool by dissolving on the attribute corresponding to the needed boundary type. As of March 10, 2026, the unified boundaries have been updated to align with the most recent official City Limits dataset.</suppInfo>
